Revelry

A glamourous dinner hosted by Lamborgini and a beautiful menu by chef Michael Voltaggio started the weekend off right. Luck was on my side, and I got to sit next to the inimitable Kate Krader from Food & Wine magazine. The evening was filled with laughter and good times.

Saturday we were under the tents with the highlights being food from Ricardo Zarate (Mo-chica and Picca resturaunt in LA), an oyster seminar from Jose Andres, and getting an education on rose wines. That lead into the Food & Wine Best New Chef’s dinner on top of the mountain. The lovely Dana Cowin, editor of Food & Wine magazine, introduced me to some of my “heroes.” I gushed as I meet David Chang, Thomas Keller, and Daniel Boulud…who couldn’t be more charming. It went deep into the night at 212. I feel like chefs are lonely hearts who have found their family through food, I’m smitten. xx Ali
